FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What’s the difference between Bonnell and Pocketed springs?

Bonell springs are stiff, used for decades in the manufacture of mattresses. The springs are interconnected by a spiral wire, which makes the mattress stiffer under pressure. Mattresses with Bonell springs are usually stiffer and support your back, but they do not have as good anatomical features as mattresses with Pocket springs.
Pocket springs are a spring system where each spring is placed in a separate fabric "pocket" (hence its name, from the English "pocket" meaning pocket). They are usually soft springs and are not connected to each other, which allows them to act individually depending on the pressure of the human body. Pocket spring mattresses adapt perfectly to your body and are ideal for couples, as you will not be disturbed by the movements of the person sleeping next to you while you are resting.

Shall I buy a hard or a soft mattress?

It depends on several factors. Recent studies, unlike earlier studies, show that medium-firm mattresses are better because they provide proper back and body support. However, although the research covers the majority of people, it cannot be attributed to every person because each of us is unique. In conclusion, people who are used to sleeping on their back may find a firm mattress an ideal choice, but people who like to sleep on their side or stomach may find a firm mattress uncomfortable. For such people, it is better to choose a semi-hard mattress or a mattress with Pocket springs.

If I suffer from back pain, what mattress should I buy?

Because back or medical problems can vary from person to person and because we are not doctors, we strongly believe that is better for someone suffering from back pain to get the advice of a doctor or physiotherapist regarding the hardness of their mattress. Every problem requires a different approach and only an expert can advise you on what mattress you should buy.

Is a higher price mattress better than a lower price one?

Not always. In fact, more expensive mattresses are made of higher and better quality materials than lower priced mattresses. Better materials Pocket springs, Memory foam, latex, etc. Mattresses made of higher quality materials adapt more easily to your body shape, evenly distributing the pressure of your body weight and ensuring the right support for your back. Of course, this does not mean that everyone rests better on a more expensive mattress. The most important thing is the interaction between your body and the mattress, depending on the structure of the mattress and your weight, height, as well as your sleeping habits or dominant sleeping position, not the price of the mattress!

What mattress should I buy for my 3-12 age kids?

Children 3-12 years of age should avoid very soft mattresses since their body needs to provide support to their spine as they grow up.

When should I replace my mattress?

- if you wake up in the morning with back pain, but during the day they disappear
- if your sleep is worse than before
- if you sleep better in another place than on your own mattress

How can I protect my mattress to last longer?

- Always use a washable mattress cover that protects the mattress from dirt and stains
- do not place the mattress on a damaged, inappropriately sized, uneven surface or on a surface with a slat gap of more than 7 cm (we recommend a maximum 5 cm gap between the slats)
- every 2-3 months turn the mattress over and change the ends (in the first 2-3 months it is recommended to do this every 2-3 weeks)
